The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure ( NASENI) has signed memorandum of understandings (MoU) with four private developers on the provision of housing units to the staff of the Agency.
Speaking during the ceremony today Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, who was represented by the Coordinating Director, Planning and Business Development, Dr. Mrs. Nonyem Onyechi said the Agency is desirous of making housing units available for its staff.
The plan is to make interested staff have access to genuine, credible and experience developers who would provide housing units within a stipulated time frame.
The developers engaged so far by the Agency include Real Mortgage Solutions Ltd, Qietur Ltd, Urban Shelter Development Ltd , and Brains and Hammers Ltd.
The representative of the EVC/CEO of NASENI said the Agency was desirous to ensure that staff own housing units to ensure sound work-life balance.
Chief Executive Officer of Real Mortgage Solutions, Mr. Majesty Iwodi; CEO of Brains and Hammers, Mr. Ome Osobase; CEO of Urban Shelter, Mr. Taiwo Olusola; CEO of Qietur Ltd, ,Mr. Abiola Oyedotun all promised to deliver quality works for the staff of NASENI after declaring their companies commitment to give allocation numbers to the allottees as soon as equity percentage is paid.
They added that as experienced Real estate companies, they are ready to have desk officers presumably an engineer from the Agency on their sites who would be reporting directly to the management of NASENI while the developers equally write progress report periodically and submit to the Agency.
The event was rounded off with the signing of MoUs between the Agency and the four real estate developers and witnessed by the NASENI Housing Committee members of the Agency.
